Welcome to the Alabama Society for Respiratory Care
The Alabama Society for Respiratory Care is a chartered affiliate of the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) representing our state. Our goal is to Educate, Elevate, Advocate, and Advance the profession of Respiratory Therapy in Alabama. The 20-member board are a group of volunteers representing all areas of our state that are elected by the members. We provide educational and networking opportunities for Respiratory Therapists at all levels of care.
2026 ASRC Nominations
It is time to nominate candidates for the
2027-2028 ASRC Board of Directors

All nominated candidates must be Active AARC Members to be placed on the ballot.

Nominations will close at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026.

Once nominations are closed, a member of the Elections and Nominations Committee will contact the nominee to gather additional information needed for the ballot.

Voting will open mid-July to allow the committee time to prepare the ballots and contact the nominees.

Voting will be restricted to ACTIVE AARC members only according to AARC Bylaws.

The elected candidates will begin their term on January 1, 2027.

All terms are for a period of 2 years, with an exception of the ASRC House of Delegates Representative, which is a 4-year term.
