Respiratory Therapist Full-Time 7p-7a
Responsibilities:
Under general direction, position is responsible for setting up and operating various types of respiratory care equipment and performing or assisting with procedures utilized in the diagnosis or treatment of cardiopulmonary disease or illness. Demonstrates advanced skills and serves as mentor/preceptor. Full time night shift (36 hours/week), salary based on certification and experience.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Therapist Program
Highly developed skill set that includes demonstrated critical thinking and analytical abilities
Consistently demonstrated high level of performance related to core values
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Registered or Certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care
Licensed by the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy
Current American Heart Association BLS certification
Desired Qualifications:
Associate degree or BS degree in Respiratory Science

Registered Respiratory Therapist In-House Contract
Short Term Staffing Agreement for Premium Pay:
13-week contract, $38/hour with $1,500 completion bonus
Minimum Requirements:
-Successful completion of all clinical rotations for respiratory therapy program
-Graduate from an entry or advanced level education program with a minimum of an associate degree or grandfathered into CRT program by NBRC
- Training in at least two patient populations
- Working knowledge of the arterial puncture procedure and interpretation
- Proficient in English
- ACLS, BLS, CRT and PALS must be obtained within 12 months of date of hire or transfer
- Must have current Alabama Board of Respiratory Therapy state license.

RRT:
Education / Experience: Valid license from the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy and Registered Respiratory Therapist through the National Board for Respiratory Care.
License / Certification required: BCLS certification required, ACLS, and PALS are preferred. NRP certification for those qualified to work in the NICU.
CRT:
Education / Experience: Valid license from the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy and Certified Respiratory Therapist through the National Board of Respiratory Care. Graduate therapist with a temporary license from the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy.
License / Certification required: Graduate therapist must obtain Certified Respiratory Therapist credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care within 3 months in position. Must obtain permanent license from the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy within 30 days of obtaining the Certified Respiratory Therapist . BCLS certification required, ACLS, and PALS are preferred. NRP certification for those qualified to work in the NICU.
